Proposed November 2020 Masters Tournament Cancelled
It is with some sadness and deep regret that the continuation of COVID-19 around Australia has forced us not to proceed with the planned Pan Pac Masters Games optional event in November 2020.
As you know I have fielded quite a few positive responses about staging the event, but as the past months have progressed, so has the impact of the virus and the level of team withdrawal or inability to form teams has increased.
Recent state border closures and the uncertainty of the future for people all around the country has now confirmed that we will not have adequate time to get the event off the ground this year. I believed that a 3 month notice period to all of the baseball community was reasonable, therefore we have made the decision not to proceed now.
I am in regular contact with Qld Events Management and there is still no formal confirmation or otherwise of PPMG being held in 2021 and again in 2022, but I will keep you all informed of developments as they come to hand.
Thank you all for your positive interest in this option, I very much look forward to seeing you at the next opportunity we can host a Masters baseball event.
Clearly, the COVID-19 has beaten us this year.
